Sales Assistant
Responsibilities
  • Maintain customer satisfaction through excellent guest service
  • Maintain cleanliness of the party rooms & park and ensure that products are presented in an appealing manner
  • Receive and inventorize in/out all park related logistics
  • Stay up to date with party plan bookings as well as event knowledge in the industry
  • Determine customers needs and wants and suggest and propose these ideas / plans to potential clients
  • Adhere to company guidelines and procedures
  • Welcome and engage in conversation with customers, help them as needed
  • Assist management on ad-hoc basis on daily ops
Requirements
  • Experience in sales is preferred
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be attentive to customers needs and determined to provide customer satisfaction
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, multitask, be flexible and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of sales standards and customer service routines
  • Must have proficient math skills to handle cash and credit card payments
  • Basic computer skills including spreadsheets, data programs and PowerPoint
  • Work well with others and be a team player
  • Ability to manage schedules and inventory
  • Able to work on weekdays and weekends; shift work based on events and daily operations

Event Coordinator
Responsibilities
  • Understand requirements for each event
  • Plan event with attention to financial and time constraints
  • Book venues and schedule invites
  • Research vendors (catering, decorators, musicians etc.) and choose the best combination of quality and cost
  • Negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favorable terms
  • Hire personnel needed for events (casual staff)
  • Manage all event operations (preparing venue, invitations etc.)
  • Do final checks at the day of the event (e.g. tables, technology) to ensure everything meets standards
  • Oversee event happenings and act quickly to resolve problems
  • Evaluate event’s success and submit reports
Requirements
  • Proven experience as event coordinator or at least 2 years experience in the sales industry
  • A proven track record of organizing successful events
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent vendor management skills
  • Knowledge of basic recruitment practices
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
  • Well-organized with multi-tasking skills
  • Able to handle stress and remain calm
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Min. Diploma in hospitality management, public relations or relevant field is preferred

Event Host
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and execute all internal and/or external Amazonia Singapore events with other key departments
  • Assist in planning and overseeing operational set-up, execution, and tear-down of all events
  • Event categories include but not limited to Amazonia initiated events, celebrations, variable programmes, school groups, parties, or events that may be hosted in Amazonia Singapore or any external location such as shopping malls and schools
  • Assist in planning and working closely with supporting departments on manpower requirements
  • Assist to coordinate with all relevant departments on events requirements such as availability of space, readiness of event premises, logistics set up, AV provisions, catering, decorations, and any other additional services
  • Assist with book-keeping and administration duties such as compiling and dissemination of Event Orders, collating and preparation of duty name list, purchases and stock checks
  • Any other duties as assigned by Events Coordinator
Requirements
  • Well groomed and understand the value of time management
  • Proven experience as event coordinator or at prior experience in the events / marketing industry
  • A proven track record of organizing successful events / functions
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Well-organized with multi-tasking skills
  • Able to handle stress and remain calm
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Min. Diploma / ITE (Higher NITEC) in hospitality management, public relations or relevant field is preferred
